What is AS/NZS 4801?

AS/NZS 4801:2001 is the Australian and New Zealand Standard for safety management. We are JAS-ANZ accredited to provide certification to this standard.

AS/NZS 4801:2001 enables organisations to:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective OH&S management system
  • Have assurance that their company conforms with the required OH&S regulation
  • Provide evidence of conformance to interested stakeholders, including enhancement of your reputation as a safe and reliable partner, contractor or supplier
  • Demonstrate knowledge and control over all relevant hazards, including reductions in workplace injuries, illness and incidents
  • Tender for work by being able to declare conformance with the standard

An AS/NZS 4801 Health & Safety Management System will need to be fully developed and implemented prior to a certification assessment. Read more on the certification process.
